What is the MFRSeach.com (MFRSeach)?

The MFRSeach.com (MFRSeach) is an online communication portal between buyers and sellers of manufactured parts and machining services. It is a secure interactive website that connects manufacturing businesses to each other.  Its robust database of Ohio’s manufacturers and suppliers allows it to be Ohio’s preeminent online procurement/sourcing resource.

MFRSeach has been developed with support from the Ohio Department of Development and TechSolve, Inc., along with Ohio’s six other Edison Technology Centers. 

How does MFRSeach work?

It’s easy to use MFRSeach and connect with Ohio’s manufacturing community:

  1. Register for free or claim your company’s profile
  2. Complete and/or edit your company’s profile
  3. Browse companies and their capabilities to match your needs
  4. Add or respond to RFQs
  5. Contact companies of interest via phone or e-mail

What is a Company Profile and how do I update mine? 

Every company on MFRSeach has a Company Profile which is available to claim and/or edit.  Company profiles are easy to claim or edit (just use the available icons!) Profiles include:

You should review your company profile periodically to make sure it includes the most current information available.  MFRSeach’s technology utilizes your company’s capabilities via NAICS codes along with the above information to match your capabilities with buyers and browsers visiting the site.  This information allows you to be selected to receive RFQs and other business opportunities.

How do I search for companies on MFRSeach?

You can search multiple ways.

 MFRSeach provides the ability to search directly by Products/Services or Companies.  For example you can enter “metal fabricators” in the Products/Services text box; or you can enter “ACME Fabricators” directly into the Companies text box to find their contact information.  You are able to navigate from this area on every page.

You can also browse companies through their “focused capabilities” available from MFRSeach’s home page. MFRSeach organizes its database through NAICS codes which allows buyers and suppliers to match perfectly.

How do I contact a company listed on MFRSeach?

Every company listed on MFRSeach has an address and phone number so you can contact the company directly.  You can also email the company either directly (if their profile allows it), or through MFRSeach technology which allows us to direct questions via email to the company in question.  It is important to note that all companies on MFRSeach have a choice to disclose or keep private their e-mail addresses and other contact information.  We will only forward the information required.

You can also contact companies by sending RFQs. 

How do I submit and send an RFQ on MFRSeach?

Submitting and sending an RFQ is easy! Click the Send RFQ icon and follow these easy steps:

  1. Add RFQ description
  2. Specify contact information and terms
  3. Identify needed capabilities/qualifications
  4. Upload any technical data files
  5. Alert companies and notify potential suppliers
  6. Confirm your information

MFRSeach’s technology allows it to search the entire database to match all qualified companies to your RFQ.  In addition, you are able to select specific companies to add to the RFQ distribution list.

Is MFRSeach for Ohio companies only?

MFRSeach is focused on generating business for thousands of Ohio’s manufacturing companies.  MFRSeach will focus its efforts on promoting the capabilities of Ohio’s manufacturers, but as word of MFRSeach spreads, we expect buyers from outside of Ohio will want to source from Ohio’s vast manufacturing resources.
